Portoroz, Slovenia -- (Sports Network) - Third-seeded Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark and fourth-seeded Spaniard Anabel Medina Garrigues won their respective second-round matches on Wednesday at the $145,000 Banka Koper Slovenia Open.

The 18-year-old Wozniacki demolished Croatian Karolina Sprem 6-1, 6-1, while Medina Garrigues discarded unseeded Julia Vakulenko 6-4, 6-4.

In other second-round play, Petra Martic of Croatia downed former champion Klara Zakopalova 6-3, 4-6, 7-6(7-3) in a tightly-contested match, while Russian Vera Dushevina cruised past Englishwoman Katie O'Brien 6-3, 6-2. Zakopalova won the inaugural final here three years ago.

The second round will conclude here tomorrow, with the top two seeds highlighting the action. Top-seeded Russian Maria Kirilenko will face unseeded Italian Roberta Vinci, while second-seeded Slovenian Katarina Srebotnik will matchup against German Julia Goerges. Srebotnik, a resident of Slovenia, is a two-time finalist here, with appearances in the 2007 and 2005 finals.

The 2008 Slovenia Open champion will claim $22,900.
