Sun Clinch Playoff Spot With Win Over Dream

(Sports Network) - Tamika Whitmore finished with a game-high 27 points and team-high six rebounds, as the Connecticut Sun cruised to a 98-72 drubbing of the Atlanta Dream.

Asjha Jones added 24 points, while Amber Holt had 11 points and seven assists for the Sun, who clinched a playoff berth with the victory. It was the fifth consecutive win for Connecticut, which remained one game ahead of Detroit atop the Eastern Conference.

Lindsay Whalen notched a team-high eight assists for the Sun.

Betty Lennox scored 19 points for the Dream, who have dropped six straight contests. Katie Feenstra chipped in 13 points and Erika Desouza had 11, while both Feenstra and Desouza grabbed six rebounds for Atlanta.
